Libraries store the energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve, and contribute to improving our quality of life.

- Sidney Sheldon

Our goal in the LMC is to support inquiry by both students and staff. To assist with that, we offer print and non-print resources that give access to information from a variety of sources. We are committed to teaching students information literacy skills and digital citizenship.

GBAPS school libraries build a collection based on board-approved selection guidelines, that meet the wide-ranging needs and interests across the school community and provide choices that are relevant and appealing. Our collections reflect the diversity of ideas and authors, and the population of our school communities. We include books and other print and digital materials to engage students and support the curriculum

Browse our collection of books, magazines and other resources by using the ClassLink and Destiny options below. You can log in using your network username and password.

The Selection and Review of Library Media Center Materials and Resources can be found in GBAPS School Board Documents.

  • Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade:  Students may borrow 2 books each week after learning about book care and library procedures.
  • Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade:  Students may borrow 3 books each week. This includes magazines!

Holds:

  • Students may request up to three items for library hold.  These items will be held for one week after the student is notified of availability.

Renew Materials:

  • Students may renew materials for two additional weeks, unless the book is on hold for someone else.

Overdue Materials:

  • Students will be notified verbally and/or in writing when they have overdue materials.

Lost or Damaged Materials:

  • Look really hard for the borrowed item.
  • Tell the Library Media Specialist or Secretary what you lost or damaged.
  • The LMC does not charge overdue fines, but the main office accepts monetary reimbursement for lost or damaged materials.
